The Department of Political Science is established in the year 2021. The department is striving to expand its sphere and grow into one of the most reputed Political Science departments of the State. With a host of innovative teaching and learning methods introduced, the department is currently run by eminent and qualified professors. Classes include lectures, student interactions, discussions, and seminars. Students are periodically evaluated through class tests, assignments, and quizzes.

To enrich the students in the theory and practice of political science at local, State, National and International levels. The program aspires to empower youth, especially those belonging to marginalised sections of society by providing them quality education. Students graduating from this program will be equipped with conceptual knowledge required to face the competitive society of today while also being responsible citizens who will contribute to the society productively,

The objective of this department is to produce high quality social work professionals who understand the needs of society and individuals while respecting the social setting, culture, and tradition. To create a generation of students who can come up with innovative solutions that are technically sound, environmentally, and socially responsible.

UG Course - B.A. Political Science (3 Years)

A degree in political science has tremendous avenues and job scope both in public and private sector. In the private sector, political science students are employed for analytics, consulting in international firms, data analysis in NGO’s, campaign management etc.

In the Public Sector, a Political Science graduate can find employment in the following roles:

• UPSC - Union Public Service Commission Examinations such as IAS (Indian Administrative Services), IPS (Indian Police Service), IFS (Indian Forest Service)
